Cruzer Freedom is a uniquely designed USB flash drive for students
to safely carry personal files on the go. Powered by SanDisks
FlashCP technology, this drive becomes a "digital backpack."
SanDisks proprietary software allows easy and secure downloads of
copyrighted content including textbooks, novels, study guides,
educational software, and much more.
SanDisk FlashCP technology is a system that includes:
- FlashCP Console: software and Internet application for managing, downloading, and viewing eBooks and other digital content. The application runs off the flash memory device and is not installed on your PC.
- SanDisk Online Catalog: an online store with a wide selection of
digital content available for download, both for free and for
purchase. Content is securely downloaded from SanDisk servers.
- Proprietary FlashCP firmware built into the USB flash drive
hardware.
FlashCP takes advantage of the distributed nature of the Internet
and the ubiquity of flash memory standards to pioneer a more useful
user experience with digital content.
