 Quick and efficient..
HIghly recommend this unit. I use it with bind, pfBlocker, Snort and no issues. Runs very quiet and cool.

 Awesome little box and support!
I purchased 3 of these for site to site vpn and they work great. I love the compact size. I had an issue with my order but everyone went out of their way to make it right. I did use tech support for the VPN connection and Brandon was awesome. I love everything about pfsense and the company backing it. Thanks!

 Awesome Little Box
Set this up as my router/firewall in my home. I was originally concerned about throughput, but I have no issues pushing 170Mbps WAN to LAN (Comcast) but this box seems capable of way more than that. I am not using too many features as I wanted to downsize from a workstation I was originally using. My home network is fairly simple so the two ports are just fine for me. I started with a fresh configuration and have had zero issues. The usb mini port for console access just requires a normal cable, the port has a USB to UART (Serial) converter built in (Windows 7 got the drivers from the internet but Windows 10 seemed to have it included). 5 Stars!

 Short on ports, but works great
I wish there was an OPT NIC instead of having to VLAN everything, but I guess that's the tradeoff for the price (even though the CPU supports 4x2.5GbE...). My friend was able to load his old config from his VM after redoing all interface related settings, however I started from scratch and had no problems. Although if you want any kind of network segmentation you'll obviously need VLANs and a VLAN-aware switch. So far the device stays relatively cool by itself (sitting at 60C currently), and when I max out my Internet connection (~350Mbps), CPU hits ~35% usage. And when I max out OpenVPN (20Mbps, since my upload is capped at that) it gets ~9%. I might have a fan in my rack blow a little extra air over it, but just because I prefer keeping things cooler. My only complaint is the case - it is brushed aluminum by the looks of it and it is a fingerprint magnet. I don't want to see it permanently printed just like my PC tower.
