Description

WLE300NX 6A 802.11n/a/b/g miniPCI Express Card

The iWavePort WLE300NX is a IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n wireless adapter that operates in both the 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz bands, available in PCIe mini card form factor. Featuring Atheros 9380 chipset, the WLE300NX 6A dramatically increases the overall throughput up to 450Mbps with 3T x 3R MIMOtechnique. Leveraging Atheros 3-Stream 11n plus New Signal Sustain Technology, WLE300NX sets a new benchmark in throughput and range, making it ideal for consumer and enterprise applications, such as video, voice and data transmission. The WLE300NX is interoperable with standard 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g devices and fully supports industry standards compliant security.

Benefits:

  • 2.4/5GHz IEEE 802.11n compliant and backward compatible with 802.11a/b/g
  • 10x throughput and nearly twice the range of legacy 802.11a and 802.11b/g networks
  • Supports up to 450 Mbps physical data rates
  • Can be used in laptops or for OEM project/ embedded systems
  • Maximum output power:
    • 13 dBm@5GHz / 18 dBm MIMO aggregate +/- 2 dBm
    • 18 dBm@2.4GHz / 23 dBm aggregate +/- 2 dBm

Features:

  • Atheros XB114 reference design
  • Atheros XSPAN family chipset with SST3™
  • IEEE 802.11n compliant and backward compatible with 802.11a/b/g
  • Dual-band 3 x 3 MIMO spatial multiplexing technique
  • Maximum Likelihood Demodulation (MLD) optimizes MIMO demodulation to boost signal strength at close range.
  • Transmit Beamforming (TxBF) focuses transmit signals to the receiver to enhance the link rate at mid-range on the link continuum.
  • Maximal Ratio Combining (MRC) enables the receiver to optimally combine the MIMO signal paths, aligning time and phase of the signal receive to extend link reliability at longer range
  • Dynamic MIMO Power Save´╝îwhich enables power efficiencies by downshifting to engage fewer transceivers when applications do not require the full 3x3 operation
  • Wake-on-Wireless™ to enable the host to sleep for longer periods for enhanced efficiency
  • Unscheduled Automatic Power Save Delivery (UAPSD), which allows PCs to sleep more often and longer when connected to SST3-based routers
  • Supports Atheros Direct Connect, which enabling notebooks to connect multimedia content directly to other client devices without transmitting through an access point
  • Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) guards against packet loss at every point on the link.
  • Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS)
  • Multi-Country Roaming Supported (IEEE802.11d Global Harmonization Standard)
  • Supports 802.11x authentication, 64/128/152Bit WEP, IEEE802.11i encryption
